LOKVIKAS SOCIAL FOUNDATION proposes to establish a training centre for the Assistant Drone Technician course for the year 2026–2027. The initiative focuses on education, self-reliance, and skill development, especially for youth from economically weaker and underserved communities.
The course is designed to bridge the gap between education and employability by preparing students for emerging opportunities in drone assembly, maintenance, testing, and field support.
This is not only a technical course. It is a pathway for Vasti youth to enter a modern, fast-growing, skill-based employment ecosystem.

Course Structure
The course includes theory, practical training, simulation, troubleshooting, flying support, workplace discipline, employability skills, and OJT exposure.
Drone Technology Basics
Introduction, aerodynamics, flight rules, and simulation techniques.
Maintenance & Testing
Drone maintenance, troubleshooting, bench testing, and flying practice.
Workplace Readiness
Coordination, discipline, safety, and standard work practices.
Employability Skills
Apprentice readiness and practical orientation for work opportunities.
What an Assistant Drone Technician Does
An Assistant Drone Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, bench testing, flying support, and service assistance while following standard work practices.
- Aerial photography and videography support
- Survey and mapping support
- Transport and field application support
- Emergency and firefighting application support
- Industrial and utility inspection support
Eligibility
Beneficiary candidates must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum eligibility includes any one of the following:
- 10th pass
- 8th pass with 2 years of NTC after 8th
- 8th pass with 2 years of relevant experience
- 9th pass with 1 year of relevant experience
Training Setup & Infrastructure
Trainer Requirement
For a batch of 30 students, one ESSCI ToT-certified trainer is sufficient for both classroom and practical training, maintaining a 30:1 ratio.
Lab Requirement
The training centre should provide appropriate workstations, a minimum lab size of 300 sq. ft., and at least 10 sq. ft. of working space per student.

The project is already moving towards implementation through identified training infrastructure.
